New Years Eve Festivities
Thursday 30th December 2010

An opportunity to meet all other revellers will take place in the evening for cocktails and canapés in the Cocktail Bar. An evening to relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this former stately home. Delight in the mouth watering six course menu prepared by Master Chef Kevin Dowling and his brigade and enjoy the hilarious tricks and balloon sculptures at your table. Then absorb the ambience in the oak panelled hall in front of roaring log fires with after dinner coffee.

New Years Eve
Friday 31st December 2010

After a leisurely breakfast, at 10.15am we invite you to a wonderful Birds of Prey display on our front lawn. Indoor facilities provide cover from the winter weather from where you will entertained by a series of presentations. At 11.30am collect your packed lunch and choose to travel by luxury coach for either a lake cruise or a walk culminating with piping hot mulled wine and mince pies on your return to the Hall. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear are essential. Gather your strength now for the final fling of 2010 culminating with a New Years Eve Ball where a spectacular buffet is laid on for you.

After the piper has piped in the Haggis, Chef and his brigade will be present to guide you through the endless array of hot and cold dishes. Dance the night away to popular sounds of our resident duo and New year disco. Bring in 2011 with a glass of bubbly whilst balloons cascade around you and everyone gathers for 'Auld Land Syne'.

New Years Day
Saturday 1st January 2011

Children can enjoy an early light breakfast whilst the adults relax before a breakfast brunch starting at 11am with a Jazz Band playing into the afternoon. From 11am to 4pmm there is a special programme for the children with child minders present to allow plenty of recuperations time for that New Year hangover! Afternoon Tea and Christmas cake can be enjoyed by the log fire at 4pm.

In the evening Black Tie is requested for our six course New years Day Gala Dinner and a Casino comprising of Blackjack and Roulette tables will be waiting for you to gamble into the early hours. Fun money is provided and a prize of a magnum of Champagne for the winner.(no cheating!).

Depart after breakfast ready to face the challenges that lie ahead for 2011 or, if you cannot bear to tear yourself away yet extend your stay to include another couple of days . special rates available.

Mid Festivities

For those who wish to stay at home for Christmas and New year why not enjoy a two or three night mid festivity break! The tariff is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. However at the Hall Quad Biking or Clay Pigeon Shooting are on offer, not forgetting treatments available in The Spa. (All of these activities must be booked by 1st December 2010 to avoid disappointment and will be charged extra where applicable.)

For The Children
Throughout The Christmas and New Year Festivities

We appreciate that Christmas and New year is very much a family time and in with this in mind a programme of events for the young members of your family is available including games and a selection of films plus there is the Clown About Indoor Soft Play Centre recommended for the 4-12 years age is available situated at Trotters World of Animals. High Tea is included in the children's tariff (when sharing with parents accommodation) except for Christmas Day and New Years Eve when we expect all families would prefer to dine together. Parents wishing their families to join them for dinners will be charged an extra cost of £25.00 per child per meal and prior booking is essential.

Please note that children (under the age of 18) have restricted access to The Spa and are only allowed to use the pool facilities from 8.30am-10.30am and 4.30pm-6.30pm Monday to Saturday, 8.30am-10.30am and 2pm-6.30pm Sundays. The Spa

treatment area and thermal suite are adult only areas and the outside hot tub is for over 12 years only. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This tariff only applies to guests adding nights to their Christmas or New year stay.

Prices include full use of our new Spa.  Treatments must be booked in advance and are subject to an additional charge.  Visit The Spa website for full treatment menu.


Terms & Conditions
Applicable throughout the festive period.

Prices theroughout are per person, based on sharing a double or twin room and are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%.

Where children are sharing with their parents an extra folding bed will be placed in the room.

A confirmed booking verbal or written constitutes a binding contract.

A £200 per person non refundable deposit is requested to secure all bookings. A proforma invoice will be forwarded and full payment is required by 1st December 2010. Should payment not be made by this date Armathwaite Hall reserves the right to release the booking for resale. All reservations made after 1st December 2010 must be paid in full at time of reservation.

Cancellation charges will be 100% within 28 days of arrival. Cancellation Insurance details can be obtained from all insurance brokers and we strongly recommend this action in the unlikely event of you having to cancel.

Armathwaite Hall reserve the right to alter the sequence of events if it becomes necessary.
